Handmade paper recycled from Nadine's notebooks, fabric offcuts from NM collection and Egyptian Cotton.

Printed along the fabric's edge, these circular marks are among the first things cut away during garment production. Here, Aminah reimagines them as markers for the departed. Shawahid (شواهد) is Arabic for "headstones"; the word also means "witnesses." In ancient Athens, family members regularly returned to the graves of their loved ones to tie fresh fabric ribbons around the grave marker.
