Family members in ancient Athens regularly returned to the graves of their loved ones to tie fresh fabric ribbons around the stele. As a woman, Aminah is not allowed to visit her father's grave in Saudi Arabia, while the grave of her grandparents in Greece is one she visits ritually. Ongoing Israeli aggression in the region has left many unable to properly bury their loved ones or visit their graves.
